My relationship with UCLA began with the work on establishing a center of excellence at the nexus of scientific research publication, machine-learning, and cultivating the digital community.

Subsequently, working with the president of the International Society of Heart Research North American Section, I began the process of modernizing an archaic (in digital time at least) research society into a burgeoning digital hub.
